I hate everything recycled but I have to admit to be one of the three people watching Eastwick as well so I lose all creditability. But, I was pretty psyched when they announced the new V. Now, I confess I re-watched the original on Syfy the other night and I still liked it, a lot. I mean Diana’s make-up and hair alone made it worth it, seriously. Flashward to last night’s show, gone was Diana’s hair, Marc Singer’s furrowed brow, and Freddy Kruger, replaced by Elizabeth Mitchell(’s toned down forehead, I must add), Morris Chestnut and a spankin new Anna character, who looks like she just had a great massage and spa day.
Yes times have improved because the CGI in the show was bangin’ and the Motherships looked way better than the flying toys from 1983. And the make-up was also much improved also a plus. But, I have to say I was bothered we got the big reveal of the Visitor’s lizardness and the overall they’re up to not good sinster-ness. Too soon! I know we’re on a schedule, but the set-up felt rushed. Other than that and Scott Wolf not doing it for me since 1995, the show is off to a good start. Thoughts, groans, moans, don’t care, that’s fine too.
