Trailers, Trailers Everywhere: Ash vs. Evil Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, and The Walking Dead

Last week three trailers made their way onto the internet sphere — Ash vs. Evil Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, and The Walking Dead. So, I’ve ranked them in the order of my excitement and my inner fangirl squealing!

Fear the Walking Dead looks great. How will the City of Angels react to a zombie Apocalypse? Will the zombies be able to growl or will the Botox stop them?

What did the world look like as it was transforming into the horrifying apocalypse depicted in “The Walking Dead”? This spin-off set in Los Angeles, following new characters as they face the beginning of the end of the world, will answer that question.

This spin-off was created by Dave Erickson and Robert Kirkman. It stars: Rubén Blades, Mercedes Mason, and Cliff Curtis. Fear the Walking Dead which premieres August 23rd on AMC.

And then… an extended trailer also premiered at Comic- Con for The Walking Dead which returns October 11th.

Raise your hand if you are here for Rick? Wait – did Ethan Embry join the cast!? What? Where was he last season? But, it looks like he is going to be up against Rick for a power play and I am not going to like it. And whose body is Abraham carrying? Did they say keep an eye on Carol? Please tell me they aren’t going to make Morgan and Rick adversaries; I can’t with that, at all. AND RUN DARYL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOOOOOOO many questions!?!?!? #toomuch #somuchstress

One for the road — Ash vs. Evil Dead.

Ash has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead until a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind and Ash becomes mankind’s only hope.

Ash vs. Evil Dead stars Mimi Rogers, Jill Marie Jones, and of course Bruce Campbell. It premieres on Starz on October 31st.

I love me some Bruce Campbell, but the jokes in this trailer were a bit flat. I don’t know if Ash will be a little grating every week or not. It really might have been better to make that movie they used to talk about back in the day. Still overall it’s freaking Evil Dead. So I’m here for it.

On these trailer what’s your thoughts, theories, groans, and/or moans?

So…Fear the Dead looks interesting if they will finally show it. I like the concept of seeing how it all began. I just hope these are people we can get behind.
Walking Dead: So many ideas. I don’t like them pitting Rick and Daryl against each other, nor Rick and Morgan. I’m very worried they are turning Rick into a more honest version of The Governor. Was it Carl’s girlfriend getting eaten by all those zombies or one of our own. Those darn dark tank tops and dark hair makes it hard to tell. And whats up with the watch Carol remarks? And Daryl, alone in the woods with those crazies? Now that is some scary shit.
Evil Dead: Meh, it didn’t float my boat but that doesn’t mean I won’t watch it for Ash alone.

  • I didn’t think about Carl’s girlfriend. She can go I won’t care. Carl could go I wouldn’t care, but it would destroy Rick. I don’t know if I am on board with them making Rick a potential bad guy anti-hero, if that is indeed what they are trying to do.
