Take a look at Johnny Depp in this early image from the upcoming adaptation of the old tv show Dark Shadows. I’m always amazed how Johnny manages to kind of morph into Michael Jackson in some strange way, when he’s in make-up that is. Just me?

Technically not horror, but as I have stated repeatedly I have a thing for Dolph Lundgren and J Claude Van Damme films. So unsurprisingly enough I’ve classified The Expendables as one of those, so the first was a masterpiece in my opinion. Long story short, I could not wait for The Expendables 2, but apparently Chuck Norris seeks to FUCK it up for us all.
Walker demanded the film be toned down to get a PG-13 rating from the MPAA. Why?! Something about kids or some shit. But Sly Stallone has asked me to not get my knickers in a bunch because it still kicks ass. Stallone tells Ain’t It Cool:

The PG13 rumor is true, but before your readers pass judgment, trust me when I say this film is LARGE in every way and delivers on every level. This movie touches on many emotions which we want to share with the broadest audience possible, BUT, fear not, this Barbeque of Grand scale Ass Bashing will not leave anyone hungry…

File this under not cool! Forty-three year old, Fernando Porras, of California allegedly tried to murder his wife by lacing her Rice Krispies with a household product called Goof Off.

The couple’s daughter reportedly called 911 after the mother complained that the cereal tasted and smelled funny.

“She goes ‘something’s in it, something’s in it,’” Fernanda Porras told KCAL-TV. “So I went and picked it up and when I saw what was in the cup, I could smell it and I was like ‘oh my gosh, this is a chemical.’”

Anyone else annoyed that the child’s name is Fernanda? Fernando. Fernanda. Stop it.

Captain Dumbass is being held on a $1 million dollar bond. Perhaps, Pop will bail him out. I never trusted him, who wears a top hat in the middle of the day? Just saying.

How did I miss the fact Anthony Mackie is in this? Anyway this behind the scenes clip made it onto the internet this weekend. It’s a look at Benjamin Walker (Kinsey) and Mackie (The Adjustment Bureau and The Hurt Locker) as their characters from the upcoming film Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. We’re so psyched about this film because the book was pretty awesome.

The film is based on the of book the same name by Seth Grahame-Smith. If they’ve cast Mackie as Abe’s best friend in the film, this means they taken some liberties with the book. Should be interesting. Click thru the jump to give it a little look see.

The internet is a buzz with that fact A&E is reportedly developing a television series, called Bates Motel. The series will serve as a prequel based on the events in Norman and Mother Bate’s life that leads to the 1960 horror classic Psycho.

I’m kind of all in on this one folks, because horror t.v. is where it’s at right now. The only thing, didn’t we already find out Mother was crazy. Remember Psycho IV: The Beginning which was a t.v. movie from 1990. So what’s left to tell? I guess we shall see.
