Eli Roth’s ‘The Last Exorcism’ — Homegirl’s Back Still Really Bendy

Finally, we have the trailer for Eli Roth’s The Last Exorcism. Since I have a little bit of a crush on old Eli I’ll be kind. This really has an Emily Rose vibe to it to me. I don’t know, I’m not that moved.

Here are the main point of the story a troubled evangelical minister agrees to let his last exorcism be filmed by a documentary crew. Enjoy!

I read they will be having Corey Haim’s funeral today. In memory of a kid (Haim) who was probably mine and maybe your first movie star crush, I say watch the movie that started Corey-mania for many little girls out there. Vampires, Hot Mugshot (Kiefer Sutherland) and the two Coreys, enjoy.

Rest in peace, Corey!

See It! The House of the Devil

First off you have to give this movie props for its look. Because if you didn’t know any better you would swear you were nine-years-old up late watching it on USA’s Up All Night. Remember that show? No. And you call yourself a horror fan.

The House of the Devil is a film set in the 1980s, where college student Samantha Hughes takes a strange babysitting job that coincides with a full lunar eclipse. She slowly realizes her clients harbor a terrifying secret; they plan to use her in a satanic ritual.

The appeal of this one is of course is once again the look and the sounds. The grainy, dirty look and the bad hair and clothes make you feel like this one came from the vault. The actors in this do an excellent job of keeping you interested and in keeping the old school theme, the plot does away with any modern twist. You figure out the sinister pretty quickly and the ending is as expected as any 80s horror movie, but you’ll enjoy it anyway. See it!

The House of the Devil will be released on DVD/Blu-Ray is tentatively February 2nd. For more information on seeing this in theaters or via On-Demand visit House of the Devil movie .
