The Cabin in the Woods which so far might be my favorite horror movie this year – MIGHT, is available today on DVD.

Check out the Fatale’s review of this film from earlier this year. I can’t wait to rewatch it and see if my opinion changes.

‘The Cabin in the Woods’ – Clever, different, but not perfect

Joss Whedon The Cabin in the Woods
Director Drew Goddard. 2011
A friend of mine asked me if I liked Cabin in the Woods immediately I said yes. But, I took a few days, well a few weeks to think about it. The answer to the question is still yes.

However, that’s not to say I didn’t have some issues with the film. The question also has me wondering did I like it because I already knew what Cabin in the Woods was doing ahead of time. Or, is it just good? Now how to explain my thoughts to you on why I think it’s both, without spoiling you. It’s tricky, but here goes nothing. Continue reading

‘THE CABIN IN THE WOODS’ – Opens Today

Five friends go to a remote cabin in the woods. Bad things happen.

If you think you know this story, think again. From fan favorites Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard comes THE CABIN IN THE WOODS, a mind blowing horror film that turns the genre inside out. Produced by Whedon and directed by Goddard from a script by both, the film stars Kristen Connolly, Chris Hemsworth, Anna Hutchison, Fran Kranz, Jesse Williams, Richard Jenkins and Bradley Whitford. Lionsgate presents a Mutant Enemy production.

All I can offer is this: Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Dr. Hottie (Jesse Williams ) and a body count, what else can they offer us?
THE CABIN IN THE WOODS is playing at your local theater, unless you live in the boonies that is – if so you need to move.

‘The Cabin in the Woods’ Trailer –Thor and Dr. Avery = HOT

First off need I say more girls? It’s a horror film with Chris Hemsworth and Jesse Williams. And if you don’t know who they are, shame on you. For they both are delicious. (Horrible sentence, but you get the point.) Although, I am not the biggest fangirl of Joss Whedon, I am really looking forward The Cabin in the Woods. Let me clarify, I like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the show and the movie. And I started watching Angel, but then they had Cordelia to get pregnant by a kid she was raising as her son. And they had an episode where they turned into puppets, so…yeah. I broke up with Angel before it was finished. Sads. Boreanez is hot. Oh well.
