Creepshow Episode 2 Ups the Ante, with Classic Horror Elements – HF Review

For the second episode of the all new but ever nostalgic Creepshow, they gives us some classic horror elements while continuing to maintain the corky vibe of the brand. This episode includes two vignettes: Bad Wolf Down and The Finger.

Bad Wolf Down is directed and written by Rob Schrab. The cast includes horror heavyweight Jeffrey Combs. Also, Dave MacDonald, Callan Wilson, Kid Cudi, Nelson Bonilla and Kate Freund appear.

A platoon of American soldiers is forced to hide out in a dilapidated police station during WWII, but they soon discover something more sinister than war has been unleashed inside the building: a werewolf.

The Finger is directed Greg Nicotero and written by David J. Schow. The cast includes DJ Qualls, Antwan Mills and Jake Garber.

Clark has a passion for found objects. One day, he finds something particularly odd: a finger. He takes it home and it grows- first another finger, then an arm, then a whole creature. Clark names him Bob, and they get along great… until Bob starts murdering.

Last episode it was a bit easier for me to pick my favorite segment. This time I’m a little torn. As stated earlier Bad Wolf Down has some great classic horror elements: murder, revenge, kills and hello a freakin’ wolf. However, The Finger its initial premise is silly as hell, but the final scene is the payoff. It will have you wondering and leave you with one big question. No spoilers! The Finger is a bit too meta for my liking, but the fourth wall break again makes sense in the end.

Ok, @CreepshowTv you’ve got me hooked!
