One of the most modern and cutting-edge horror anthologies around, “Two Sentence Horror Stories”, returns tonight to the CW for season two. The horror anthology series on The CW Network and produced by Stage 13, is about that universality.
The series is based on the two-sentence horror story genre and expands and continues compelling storylines and themes focused on social issues and universal primal fears. The characters and stories showcased in each of the ten episodes in season two are steeped in diversity, equality, and inclusion. The writers, directors, and cast bringing these stories to life, reflect of the diversity of the world the series is creating.
Tonight’s episodes are BAG MAN and ELLIOT.
BAG MAN – 1/12 — Be cool, stay in school. It’s easier for me to get you.
Writers: Leon Hendrix III, Vera Miao
Director: Kimani Ray Smith
Cast: Bzhaun Rhoden “Winton”; Doralynn Mui “Zee”; Keeya King “Gabbi”; Rob Labelle “Principal Gallo”; Hunter Dillon “Sam”; MJ Kokolis “Jax”; Roy Campsall “Bag Man”
Five high school seniors in their first detention find themselves falling prey to a terrifying monster.
ELLIOT – 1/12 — I don’t have many friends. That’s why I keep their bodies in the basement.
Writer: Stephanie Adams-Santos
Director: Chase Joynt
Cast: James Goldman “Elliot”; Janet Kidder “Janitor”; David Lewis “Principal Meyers”
A transmasculine student endures merciless bullying in his high school until a mysterious janitor offers the teen a way to take care of his bullies once and for all.
I am here for both episodes, but ELLIOT for the win. You have to love a story of comeuppance and cheers to bullies get what they have coming.
