Director Nia DaCosta made the list as well as history by becoming the first Black women to direct a movie for Marvel. The 31-year-old will direct the upcoming Captain Marvel 2. DaCosta’s second film the much anticipated (by me especially) Candyman, now scheduled for an August release will certainly be a major horror film moment.
