Yes, I know it’s almost not Thursday, but I’ve been busy. I finally took time to sit down and check out the new full final trailer for A Quiet Place Part II. And, I have good thoughts – surprise. In case you were busy today too take a look and we’ll talk below:
Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.
The sequel to A Quiet Place, continues to be directed by John Krasinski. It stars Emily Blunt, Cillian Murphy, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe and Djimon Hounsou.
Honestly, I was probably the one horror head that wasn’t that impressed with A Quiet Place, it gave a lot of Tom Cruise War of the Worlds with a side of Signs teas for me. So, I am a little meh on a part two. But, you know studios do not give a fuck, especially if they think a buck is to be made. So, writers Scott Beck (characters) and John Krasinski have tried to drain whatever story is left to produce a sequel. Now having said all that shit, I have to admit this film (at least by the trailer) looks more interesting and more action-filled than its predecessor. At least the addition of Cillian and Djimon looks promising. The female Abbotts continue to be resilient and persistent, so that’s always a good look with me. I guess we have to watch to see how they free Earth of the aliens and how Lord of the Flies they’ve become.
A Quiet Place Part II is in actual theaters May 28th.
