It Lives Inside played at 2023 SXSW and was the winner of the Midnighter Audience Award, and if this trailer is any indication it deserved it.

Sam is desperate to fit in at school, rejecting her Indian culture and family to be like everyone else. When a mythological demonic spirit latches onto her former best friend, she must come to terms with her heritage in order to defeat it.

It Lives Inside stars Megan Suri, Neeru Bajwa, Mohana Krishnan, Vik Sahay, Gage Marsh, Beatrice Kitsos and Betty Gabriel.  It was written and directed by Bishal Dutta, the story is Bishal Dutta & Ashish Mehta.

This is a great trailer, I have to admit I received it a couple of weeks ago and I just got around to watching it. Y’all know how much I love Black and POC representation in horror, so I’m looking forward to seeing this one.

It Lives Inside is in theaters on September 22^nd.
