Directed by Dakota Gorman (Natural Disasters) and written by Jackson Reid Williams, The Girl in the Pool marks the return of Freddie Prinze Jr. to the thriller genre.

In the film Prinze Jr stars as Thomas, a well-to-do family man who is forced to struggle through a surprise birthday party thrown for him by his wife Kristen (Potter), moments after hiding the murdered corpse of his mistress.

“The Girl in the Pool is an amazing mix of whodunnit and psychological thriller that will take you to the verge of questioning your perception of reality,” said Blacktop International’s JD Beaufils. “The added value of Freddie Prinze Jr.’s return to the screen was also something we just could not miss out on. I am also delighted to finally be working with Quiver, a company that has been behind some of the most liked and successful independent genre films of the last few years.”

The film is produced by Larry Greenberg (The Wrath of Becky), German Michael Torres (Kill Chain), RJ Collins (American Sicario) and Eric Brenner (Fear the Night) and executive producers include Matthew Helderman, Luke Taylor and Tyler Gould from BondIt Media Capital, Johnathan Gorman, Nicole Rio, and Quiver Distribution’s Berry Meyerowitz and Jeff Sackman.

This is off topic, but Freddie is only slightly older than me supposedly. After looking at the picture from the set, I would very much like to see his birth certificate, because I am believing  someone is lying. I mean he’s still attractive, but definitely in a Zaddy way. Maybe’s it’s the hair.

Quiver plans to release The Girl in the Pool in North America in in the spring of 2024.
