‘Imaginary’, Chauncey and Friends Check-in Friday

Friday in a theater near you, Chauncey and his friends are headed our way. That’s right the people at Blumhouse brings us Imaginary.

When Jessica (DeWanda Wise) moves back into her childhood home with her family, her youngest stepdaughter Alice (Pyper Braun) develops an eerie attachment to a stuffed bear named Chauncey she finds in the basement. Alice starts playing games with Chauncey that begin playful and become increasingly sinister.

As Alice’s behavior becomes more and more concerning, Jessica intervenes only to realize Chauncey is much more than the stuffed toy bear she believed him to be.

The film stars: DeWanda Wise, Tom Payne, Taegen Burns, Pyper Braun, with Veronica Falcon, and Betty Buckle. It was directed Jeff Wadlow and written by Wadlow, Greg Erb and Jason Oremland.

I want to be excited about this, but I’ve learned to quell excitement until I actually watch these films. I will say they have ramped up the marketing campaign for this one. They even hosted a playhouse event last month, check out the cool pics below. So we’ll see.
