Freak Out Friday — “Chopping Mall: The Novelization” now available

Encyclopocalypse Publications has joined forces with Shout Factory to novelize the cult classic 1986 American science-fiction comedy horror film Chopping Mall (also known as Killbots). Co-written and directed by Jim Wynorski, produced by Julie Corman, and starring Kelli Maroney, Tony O’Dell, John Terlesky, and Russell Todd.

The story focuses on three security robots turning rogue, and killing teenage employees inside a shopping mall after dark.

The novelization of Chopping Mall will be penned by author Brian G. Berry, who has penned several novelizations for Encyclopocalypse, and have garnered praise for their faithful yet fresh retellings of fan-favorite films.

Based on the screenplay by James Wynorski and Steve Mitchell, Chopping Mall: The Novelization promises to deliver all the laughs and thrills that have made Chopping Mall a beloved fixture in horror cinema, reimagined as a collectible paperback book.

The audiobook will be voiced by Joe Hempel, a veteran of Horror audiobook narration. Joe lent his voice to the fan favorite audiobook of Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes by Jeff Strand and will bring his incredible talents to create an unforgettable audiobook experience.

On November 19th 2024, Chopping Mall: The Novelization will be available wherever books are sold. eBook pre-orders are available for everyone via  encyclopocalypse.com and all major online booksellers, including Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
