ReedPop, producer of pop culture events, announced the lineup of horror directors coming to this year’s New York Comic Con (NYCC). Fan favorites Eli Roth (Borderlands, Thanksgiving, The Green Inferno, Hostel), and Ti West (MaXXXine, X, Pearl, The House of the Devil) will join the previously announced Mike Flanagan (The Life of Chuck, The Fall of the House of Usher, Doctor Sleep) to round out this must-see slate of offerings for fans of the genre.
Roth, West, and Flanagan will attend NYCC on Saturday and Sunday. Each will be available for Photo Ops and Autographing. Photo Ops and Autograph sessions are on sale now for Superfans and VIPs, and will go on sale for the general public Friday, September 13 at 10:00 AM ET.
Mike Flanagan will also have a panel on Saturday, October 19 at 12:30 PM ET in Room 405. Panel “Inside the Haunting World of The Fall of the House of Usher: A Panel with Mike Flanagan and Cast” will dive into the eerie world of The Fall of the House of Usher with the cast and director at New York Comic Con! Fans can join director Mike Flanagan, and stars Carla Gugino (Verna), Kate Siegel (Camille), and Rahul Kohli (Leo Usher) as they discuss the creation of this spine-chilling series, inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’s classic tales. The panel will explore the creative process, share behind-the-scenes anecdotes, and answer fan questions. Don’t miss this chance to get an exclusive look into the making of The Fall of the House of Usher!
NYCC 2024 is bringing attendees a robust slate of incredible panels, captivating cosplay, exclusive merchandise, and celebrity guests. Previously announced guests heading to NYCC this year include Marvel Cinematic Universe stars Paul Bettany, Josh Brolin, and Hayley Atwell; Matt Smith (Doctor Who, The Crown, House of the Dragon); Falloutstars Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, and Aaron Moten; Marisa Tomei (Spider-Man: No Way Home, My Cousin Vinny); cast members from House of the Dragon Tom Glynn-Carney, Fabien Frankel, and Matt Smith; Clerks duo Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes; and cast members from fan-favorite films and TV series Starship Troopers, Psych, Shameless, and Futurama. A special ticketed event “Happy Sad Confused 10th Anniversary Live Special” featuring podcast host Josh Horowitz will also take the stage with guests Sam Heughan, David Harbour and more to be announced. Comic and literary legends announced to attend NYCC 2024 thus far include Tegan Quin and Sara Quin, Amanda Conner, James Tynion IV, Tomi Adeyemi, Jeff Lemire, Grady Hendrix, Jimmy Palmiotti, R.A. Salvatore, Scott Snyder, Olivie Blake, Art Adams, and Chip Zdarsky.
