‘Sing: Thriller’ Moonwalks Its Way onto Netflix for Halloween – Updated

The King of Pop and one of his greatest videos is getting the animated treatment this Halloween. Unfortunately, I have no trailer, but I have some details. It was written and directed by Garth Jennings.

After staging a spectacular version of Thriller at the New Moon Theatre, Buster Moon and the cast of SING leave to celebrate at Clay Calloway’s Halloween party. But when our heroes arrive at the party they discover a mysterious, multi-colored ooze has transformed Clay and his guests into dancing freaks.

The 11-minute animated short features the voices of the original cast members of the Sing films returning for Sing: Thriller, including:

And here’s even more  (spoken in Stu voice)…

The audience is excited to take their seats at the Moon Theatre for Buster Moon’s Halloween show. The cast of SING perform a comedic B-Movie style musical, while Miss Crawly and Buster Moon groove along in the wings. It is a joyful show that has the audience clapping along.
Once their show is over, Buster and his cast gather backstage. They are all excited to attend Clay Calloway’s Halloween party. Buster is last to leave, and before he switches out the lights, a TV news flash grabs his attention: an explosion at a near-by laboratory has caused a mysterious and colorful ooze to leak out into the world.
Johnny drives them all to the party in his truck, but the road to Clay’s house has been blocked by emergency services dealing with the laboratory incident. Multicolored ooze covers the area so our heroes are advised to take an alternative route.
When our heroes finally arrive at Clay’s party they discover Clay and his party guests have been infected by the multicolored ooze and like rainbow colored zombies, they perform the legendary Thriller dance routine.

I personally cannot wait for this one. No more words.

Updated – now with trailer.
