Dystopian horror, ‘Street Trash’ gets January 10 release date

Is it sci-fi? Is it horror? Is it kind of gross? Yes. Nonetheless, Street Trash has received its official January 10th release date. The film is a reimagining of the 1987 cult horror-comedy of the same name.

A group of misfits must fight for survival when they discover a plot to exterminate every homeless person in the city.

The cast stars: Sean Cameron Michael, Donna Cormack-Thomson and Joe Vaz. It is directed by Ryan Kruger. Kruger previously directed Fried Barry.

I don’t have an opinion on this one as I watch the trailer, sometimes I am not the audience. This could be one of those cases. But, I do love they are being very political with this film. We need to find solutions to homelessness which obviously doesn’t include eradicating via murder.

Street Trash opens in theaters January 10th and will be available on Digital and Blu-ray February 17th.
