Grimm Set to Return, Eight Years After It Went Off the Air

That’s right dolls, Grimm which took what we believed to be final bow in March 2017 is being rebooted and returning – this time as a movie.

Deadline reports, Drop Dead Diva creator Josh Berman is writing the new take, which he is executive producing with the original series’ creative team, co-creators/executive producers and showrunners David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf, Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner’s Hazy Mills Productions and Universal Television.

Grim, which ran on NBC for six seasons premiered October 28, 2011, told the tale of Homicide Detective Nick Burkhardt of the Portland Police Department learns he descended from a line of guardians known as Grimms, charged with keeping balance between humanity and the Wesen, or mythological creatures of the world (Wesen is the German word for being or creature). Throughout the series, he must battle against an assortment of dangerous creatures with help from his Wesen friend, Monroe, and his partner, Detective Hank Griffin.

The details for the upcoming movie haven’t been released yet. So, I guess watch this space.

Are y’all excited, Grimm was a bit of a cult classic in its day. I really liked the first few seasons, but I must admit the last seasons got annoying, especially when everybody knew Nick’s secret and they brought in “Trubel” as a main character. Then the writers started making really questionable decisions with characters all together. When it went off the air, it was the correct decision.

So yeah Grimm is getting a movie.
