Originating on Paul Hough’s popular YouTube channel, Don’t Turn Around, audio book, The Creepy School Bus, is a heart-pounding action, relentless suspense, and bone-chilling horror.
The series follows Kaitlin, a fearless middle-schooler with a bold spirit who stands up to everyone. When her friends mysteriously vanish and whispers about a sinister school bus spread, Kaitlin finds herself dragged into a nightmare beyond her wildest imagination.
Christina Hendricks (Mad Men) redefines evil as the enigmatic Miss Langley—the world’s most malevolent middle school teacher—while Eddie McGee (9-1-1) and Erika Alexander (Living Single, Get Out) bring a cool, confident fire to their roles as FBI agents on the case. Directed by Audy Award winner Rick Rohan, the audiobook series is an auditory spectacle that transforms every page into a heart-stopping experience.
“This isn’t your standard audiobook. It’s incredibly ambitious, more like a movie, with a huge cast of first-class actors that truly bring it to life,” shares writer/creator Hough. Together with GraphicAudio, the studio behind the production, “we took my 300+ page script, which took a year to write, and spent months casting. It was so important to get every voice to match every character. Once recorded, GraphicAudio painstakingly made sure every moment, every sound effect, every ambience, and every spoken word was carefully edited. We were in production for two years, because it was so important to get this right.”
Hough continues, “Though at its core, Creepy School Bus features brave middle schoolers facing off against unspeakable horrors, I wanted to tell a story that would resonate with listeners of every age. I can’t wait for everyone to experience it!”
The Creepy School Bus is available February 11 on all major audio platforms. You can Pre-order now. Watch this space for a full book report.
