Yesterday a second trailer for Weapons was released that put more context to the narrative for the upcoming movie. This one fleshes out the backstories a bit more, but I still have questions. Take a look:

When all but one child from the same class mysteriously vanish on the same night at exactly the same time, a community is left questioning who or what is behind their disappearance.

The film stars Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, Cary Christopher, Benedict Wong, and Amy Madigan. Zach Cregger directs from his own screenplay.

This is definitely taking on the characteristics of a human study horror, maybe with a supernatural twist. I also a big fan of Josh Brolin, he really is an underrated actor.

Weapons will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, and released in theaters and IMAX nationwide on August 8, 2025, and internationally beginning in August 2025.
