As the first film in the iconic franchise to be part of the Filmed For IMAX^® program, Resident Evil brings the scale, scope and immersion that only IMAX can deliver to this terrifying new survival-horror experience.

Shot using IMAX-certified digital cameras, the film’s striking visuals and stark horror atmosphere is captured with exceptional depth, clarity and intensity. Nearly a third of the film – 33 minutes – is presented in IMAX’s exclusive 1.90:1 Expanded Aspect Ratios (EAR), giving IMAX audiences more picture and greater immersion than anywhere else.

In an all-new story, Resident Evil follows Bryan (Austin Abrams), a medical courier who unwittingly finds himself in an action-packed, non-stop race for survival as one fateful, horrifying night collapses around him in chaos.

The film stars: Austin Abrams, Zach Cherry, Kali Reis, and Paul Walter Hauser. It was directed by Zach Cregger (Weapons, Barbarian) and was written by Cregger and Shay Hatten.
